There was no shortage of injuries in Week 9 of the 2012 season, as many top players were hurt and had to leave their respective games.?
The injury bug hasn't been too kind to many teams this season, as we've seen some top names fall and some former unknowns have stepped up to take their places.
While it's far too early to tell how long these players will be out, or if they'll miss any time at all, each of these players are certainly worth keeping an eye on as they're important components to their teams.
Let's take a look at the biggest injury storylines to come out of Week 9.
?
Darren McFadden, RB, Oakland Raiders
The Oakland Raiders are no strangers to McFadden injury problems, and it's looking like their star running back could miss some time after leaving Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a leg injury, according to FOX Sports.
The Raiders' leading rusher is arguably the most important player in their offense, and his teammates will have to step up if Oakland is going to rebound from their loss on Sunday.
McFadden has missed a total of 19 games in his four seasons with a plethora of injuries.
?
Jordy Nelson, WR, Green Bay Packers
Packers fans received some good news heading into Sunday's game when they heard receiver Jordy Nelson would play despite a hamstring injury, but it didn't take long for that to change.
The Green Bay wideout left in the first quarter with a right ankle injury, according to Brian McIntyre of Yahoo! Sports.
With Greg Jennings already having missed most of the season so far, this news can't be good for Aaron Rodgers and company. Though, one silver lining is that they're heading into their bye week and have plenty of time to get Nelson back to good health.
?
Antonio Brown, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers
Steelers wideout Antonio Brown left Sunday's game against the Giants after injuring his left ankle in the first half of their 24-20 win, according to FOX News.?
A non-factor in Sunday's game, Brown had two catches for 19 yards when he left the game.?
Brown has had a heck of a season thus far, leading the team with 40 receptions for 480 yards. Though he only has reached the end zone once in his 2012 campaign.
Head coach Mike Tomlin and company will hope that Brown can get healthy and return to his early-season form without missing any additional time.
