Australian Senate President pays official visit to Cyprus

The President of Australian Senate John Hogg arrived in Cyprus last night to pay an official four-day visit, as head of a delegation.

The visit comes after an invitation by the President of the Cyprus House of Representatives Yiannakis Omirou.

According to an official announcement, Hogg will be received by President Anastasiades, the Archbishop of Cyprus Chrysostomos II, and meet with his Cypriot counterpart Yiannakis Omirou.

He will also meet separately with the Foreign Minister, the Vice President and members of the Cyprus-Australia Parliamentary Committee, as well as the Mayors of Famagusta and Nicosia.

Omirou will host an official dinner in honor of Hogg and his delegation, the announcement concludes.
