IRS Foreclosures - Zillow Real Estate Advice

Auction or Sheriff's Sale?? It would be highly unlikely that the IRS bid on the property.? If it was done through something like auction.com that was a real buyer like yourself that was the winning bidder.? The only way to get that information is to contact the Register of Deeds in a few months to allow time for the deed to be recorded.? If it was the Sheriff's Sale, the Confirmation Hearing might state who the winning bidder is.? You could attend the court date or again wait a few months and contact the Register of Deeds.

Government foreclosures/seizures I believe are put up for auction on a third party site.? I have never seen a government foreclosure.? Most typical in this area are bank foreclosures and real estate tax foreclosures.

Good luck.
